By downloading, installing, or using Heathen ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
Heathen is a meditation and affirmation app designed for atheists. The App provides guided meditation sessions, affirmations, journaling, and streak tracking features. The App is available on iOS through the Apple App Store.
The content provided in Heathen — including meditations, affirmations, and related materials — is for informational and personal wellness purposes only. It is not intended to be, and should not be used as, a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or therapy. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical or mental health condition.
Heathen may offer auto-renewing subscription plans. If you purchase a subscription:
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
Subscription prices may change from time to time. You will be notified of any price changes in advance, and the new price will take effect at the start of your next billing period.
All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store. Refund requests must be directed to Apple in accordance with their refund policies.
All user data (journal entries, session history, streak data, preferences) is stored locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to your personal data. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details.
All content, design, and code in Heathen are the property of Adam Rowe or their respective licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the App without prior written permission.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Adam Rowe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of or inability to use the App.
In no event shall Adam Rowe's total liability exceed the amount you paid for the App or subscription in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Adam Rowe from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this document. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Adam Rowe regarding your use of Heathen.
